Terms of Use

Roosearcher is a noticeboard: members post "Job Wanted" and "Hiring" ads that run Australia-wide for 7 days after payment. We are not an employer, recruiter or employment agency. We do not vet, screen or endorse any person or business, and we are not party to any arrangement, work or payment that happens between people who meet through the site.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and post ads. Keep your sign-in details safe — anything done through your account is your responsibility. Give us accurate details, and contact us at office@roosearcher.com.au if you want your account deleted.

• Be truthful: your ad must accurately describe you or the role you are offering.

• Be lawful: no ads for illegal work, unpaid or under-award arrangements, or anything that breaks Australian law.

• Be respectful: no discriminatory, offensive, deceptive, adult or scam content.

• Be careful with personal details: your ad is publicly visible, so only include contact details you are happy for anyone to see.

We may edit, refuse or remove any ad that breaks these rules, at any time, without a refund where the removal results from a breach of these terms.

Ads are one-off purchases: A$10 for a Job Wanted ad, A$20 for a Hiring ad, and an optional A$10 Featured Boost for the same 7-day period. Payment is by card through Stripe, and your ad goes live as soon as payment succeeds. Auto-renew, if you switch it on, renews the base ad; you can switch it off any time. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.

When meeting someone from an ad, use common sense: meet in a public place, tell someone where you are going, and never send money or personal documents to someone you have not met. We cannot verify the people or businesses who use Roosearcher, so any agreement you reach is at your own risk.

We work hard to keep the site running, but we do not guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free, and we are not responsible for the content of member ads or the outcome of any contact made through them. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You can stop using Roosearcher and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you and we submit to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date above, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
