Roosearcher operates this website. Questions or requests about your privacy can go to us any time at office@roosearcher.com.au.

• Account details: your name, email address, and — if you add them — your phone number, business name and profile photo.

• Ad details: the text, category, suburb, state, pay range and contact details you include in an ad.

• Payment details: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive a payment confirmation for your ad.

• Technical data: sign-in session information and basic logs that keep the site working and secure.

This is the one to read twice. When you post an ad, everything in it — including any email address or phone number you add — is published on a public website that anyone can view and search. Only include contact details you are comfortable with the public seeing. If you would rather people reach you another way (for example, a business email instead of your personal one), use that instead. You can edit or delete your ad from your account at any time.

• To take payments for ads and keep records of them.

• To provide support and respond to your questions or requests.

• To keep the site safe: we may review or remove ads that break our Terms of Use.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that make the site work: our cloud hosting and database provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and our email provider for account confirmation and password reset emails. These providers process information on our behalf to deliver the service.

Ads are visible for 7 days from payment, then expire. Expired ad content stays in your account so you can renew or reuse it, until you delete the ad or your account. If you delete your account, we delete your profile and ads. Payment records are kept as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes.

You can view, edit or delete your ads and profile details at any time from your account. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing office@roosearcher.com.au. We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you have a concern, contact us first — if you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in between visits. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

If we change this policy in an important way, we will update the date above and, for big changes, let members know in the app.
